From the billing tab, when you select time and choose “Bill Now” The default invoice date should be “today’s date” rather than the date from the last time you billed using that function.

On behalf of those of us who's bill dates are the end of the month (regardless of the actual date the invoice is created), I respectfully disagree with the suggestion above.
